I'm Dave Ansell, a musician based in Dorchester, Dorset....

         ...my main instruments are french horn and piano, but I also teach trumpet, cornet, tenor horn, trombone, euphonium, baritone and tuba.

    You will also find  information about what I can offer as a performer and a teacher.


As you browse around these headings you will find chunks of blue text you can click on to take you straight to related websites. You will also find audio clips embedded in the relevant places. Click on them to get an idea what I sound like (preferably have some decent speakers hooked up to your computer too). You will need quicktime on your machine to be able to hear these (click to get the free download).

If you click on the news items lower down to the left, you will get an idea what I've been up to recently, including information about the Dorset Sinfonia, which I conduct.

Finally, do have a peek at the "Baroque-Band-In-A-Pub"  that I have co-founded. It does what it says on the tin, and is unique on the British mainland, as far as I know.
